I was originally licensed in California in 1988. My first job as a Realtor was with Merrill Lynch Realty in Diamond Bar, California. I picked this office because of the financial powerhouse name of Merrill Lynch and Diamond Bar was a vibrant growing community. In retrospect, both reasons were shallow. After the market quieted in 1990, I decided to focus in on my real estate education. I learned a great deal more about investing in real estate and property management, basically how to purchase and hold real estate. This was great because the entire decade of the 1990’s was a dream era for people with the skill to buy and hold discount realty. This became my business model and personal mantra: Buy Low, Manage Well, and Cash Flow.
